English: Astley Ainslie Hospital, Canaan Park The Astley Ainslie Hospital is part of NHS Lothian's Primary and Community Division, which is responsible for the health of 620,000 people in Edinburgh, East Lothian and Midlothian. It specialises in post acute care and rehabilitation medicine services for patients with conditions such as stroke, cardiac disease and brain injury, and also provides care for younger stroke, amputee and general rehabilitation patients across Lothian. A new South East Mobility and Rehabilitation Technology Services (SMART) Centre provides a wide range of rehabilitation technology services for the South East of Scotland. Canaan Park is one of the houses in the grounds of the old estate that the hospital occupies in Morningside, and houses part of the administration.
